Creative Director at Tanzle, Inc

Tanzle is a software platform company that provides geospatial and relational context-maintenance solutions, including data integration, remote collaboration, content management, visualization and communication. In this role, I have led both internal and external teams of designers and engineers in multiple pilot projects expanding the use of multiple methods of interaction and visualization utlilizing game engines, full-stack web frameworks and microservice architecture. As part of the technical leadership team, I have been responsible for User Experience, Design Documentation, Wireframes, Mockups, Design Implementation, Asset Creation and Art Direction.

As Big Data analysis and visualization is requiring more embodied interaction and experience, I have been focused on utilizing technology and techniques from game development into the data visualization and analysis vertical, to allow better cognition of big data problems through experiential interaction through simulation.

Continuing Lecturer at University of California, Santa Cruz

As Continuing Lecturer in the Art for Games and Playable Media program since 2015, I have been teaching game students in hands-on digital art creation for video games through studio courses in digital painting, 3D modeling, texturing, rigging and animation.

Founder / Senior Animator / Producer - Santa Cruz Games, Boing

Having been a founder member of two Independent video game companies, Santa Cruz Games and Boing, Inc., I started my work in the video game industry in 2000 with experience as a Senior Animator, Producer, Game Designer, as well as a 3D Generalist.

 

During my time at these game companies, I shipped over 20 titles on multiple platforms and devices for major publishers including EA, Activision, LucasArts, Disney, Marvel, Eidos, among others.
